Dress for Your Taste and Body Not for the World

“Now let’s look at you, all stuck up and suffocating, absolutely the way it should be.” The exact lines in the minds of a chamber maid as she would dress up her lady in those suffocating corsets, well they say times have changed. But the same can’t be said about the stigmas that we bring upon ourselves, mostly by trying to fit into readymade apparel sold online, instead of choosing an online tailor.

The best argument put forward, “it’s all out there, why reinventing the wheel?” My argument, “your parents should have thought the same and adopted a kid, why reinvent the wheel!”

Don’t forget that God didn’t send a readymade you into the world, you were created and customized to fit in with your kin (even the black sheep of the family carry the genes of someone similar). Same as when you go out to pick your life partner you don’t just make a pick because he or she looked amazing while dating a friend of yours, similar to a garment on a mannequin. You test him, try him and then make your final decision.
‘Well, picking a dress should never be so complicated; we have several other issues lined up.’ remarks a friend of mine and I am sure you must all want to comment something similar; but remember one of these outfits will make or not just break but shatter your reputation.

Those off the peg dresses were designed for people with the standard (read robotic) body figures; we are not all the same kind. You have densely curled hair and all you can do is, be jealous of women with straight hair, I believe its ok to be envious in these circumstances. But in situations where you can be smart, why play the fool?

When you can get yourself a nice costume made that beautifies and compliments your body from an online tailor, why stick to the ready-to-wear options?

Getting a dress designed and customized to your likes has its own perks. First you feel like a confident person, able to make your own statement; second you look like yourself than someone who just follows fashion not sure about what their own style statement is and last but not the least it’s why just don a gabardine because everyone else is wearing something similar from an online fashion store.

I never tried a palazzo just because the world was going gaga over it, instead I got something customized on those lines for myself from an online tailor, because I have thin legs and the least I wanted was appearing like a specter and making a spectacle of myself.

So, while I am making fun of the Victorian women it certainly doesn’t elate my spirits to think that some random blogging blokewill make fun of my era by saying that they dressed like a herd of sheep, creativity and uniqueness was indeed rare.
